Simply put, in order to avoid leaving The Seven, The Deep had completely abandoned all dignity. The staff nearby, along with the other members of The Seven, sneered at his words. Did this qualify as a superhero?
Unfortunately, The Deep's pleas failed to move Homelander at all. Homelander looked at him and said, "You look like a dog."
"I can be your dog."
The Deep hurriedly said. If Homelander needed it, he would not mind barking twice in front of him.
What was wrong with being a dog? The real problem was not even being able to become one!
"The Seven is the strongest superhero team. We don't need a dog."
Homelander sneered disdainfully, ignored The Deep, and headed toward Seven Hall. At the same time, he shouted, "Where are the security guards? Throw this man out. I don't want to see him in Vought Tower again."
"Homelander, you can't do this to me! I've always been loyal to you!"
Ignoring his injuries, The Deep shouted, "If you want to fire someone, fire Translucent! He's as weak as I am, and he's not loyal to you either."
"Translucent really isn't that loyal to me."
Homelander did not deny it. He said, "But he's stronger than you. At the very least, he's a person. After getting injured, he kept studying his abilities and became stronger than before. But you, you piece of trash—what can you do besides beg?"
After saying that, Homelander walked straight into Seven Hall and shut the doors. The Deep was utterly despairing. Just as he wanted to shout something else, two burly security guards came over, lifted the stretcher, and headed for the elevator.
The guards thought The Deep was truly a good man. He had even brought his own stretcher so they could throw him out
