"They were from the organization's European Headquarters."
Hearing Peter's question, Nathan replied, "They came to ask about the division. I anticipated this trouble long ago, but I didn't expect them to come straight to my house."
"That makes things a little tricky."
Peter said, "I don't mind protecting you, but I can't expose my abilities. After all, according to the information you submitted, neither of us has any."
"Don't worry. I'll have people from the Disaster Countermeasures Bureau protect me."
Nathan said, "Peter, find a way to track them down. Partly for our own sake, and partly because someone needs to take the blame for that nuclear explosion in New York."
"All right. I'd really like to know why their abilities suddenly became stronger."
Peter nodded, then asked, "Uh, will they tell the president that we're both ability users?"
"Relax. I'm the vice president. Some dubious piece of intelligence isn't enough to get me removed from office."
Nathan said, "Besides, I can undergo testing. Boss gave me something that can turn me into an ordinary person when I use it."
"That's a relief."
Peter breathed a sigh of relief, left the room, and went to track down Priest and the others.
After escaping Nathan's house, Priest and his companions hid at Adam's base. Adam asked in astonishment, "How did you end up in such bad shape?"
"Nathan's younger brother is an extremely powerful metahuman."
Priest said grimly, "Those two brothers definitely had something to do with the entire Americas Division being wiped out."
A gleam flashed through Adam's eyes. "That'll be difficult to handle. Not only are they powerful, but one of them is the vice president."
"I'll report this to headquarters and have them send reinforcements."
