Sylvia stared at the time on her arm in astonishment. What the hell was this? Why was her time displayed as a rose? How many years was she supposed to live?
Just then, Sylvia abruptly vanished. When she reappeared, she was already in the restaurant where she and Will had first met.
"You're here. Let's eat first. I've fought a few battles, and I'm a little tired."
Andrew gestured for the waiter to serve the food as he spoke. Sylvia looked at him and asked nervously, "Director of S.W.O.R.D., it's a pleasure to meet you, but I don't think we know each other, do we?"
"Almost forgot."
Andrew snapped his fingers, and every image of Will in Sylvia's memories automatically changed into Andrew.
"You're Will?"
Sylvia asked in disbelief. Andrew nodded. "That's right. I'm Will. To defeat your world's original Time Demon God, I made a deal with Will and used his identity to do a few things.
"In other words, I was the one who wanted to get to know you intimately at the start. I was also the one who kidnapped those rich people, and the one who drove around fleeing with you."
Sylvia was dumbfounded. After a moment's hesitation, she asked, "You were joking when you said you wanted to get to know me intimately, right? You're a god."
It wasn't impossible for a god to take an interest in a mortal woman, but surely he wouldn't be that direct?
"I mainly wanted to get your attention. There's a little wildcat hidden inside you, one that craves excitement."
As Andrew spoke, realization dawned on Sylvia. So he was playing to my tastes. Then she sighed. "Exciting? It certainly was. The problem is, it was too exciting. I nearly went insane."
"Nearly means you haven't gone insane yet.
