Ganahta said, "Don't worry, I'll help you kill Saruman. Besides, you've treated me to a meal before. Of course, if you feel bad about it, you can treat me to another one."
King Théoden looked at Ganahta and smiled. "If you can kill Saruman, I'll treat you to as many meals as you want."
"King Théoden, you really are a good king."
Ganahta beamed. Before leaving this world, she decided to eat through all the Kingdom of Rohan's stored provisions. Andrew would definitely foot the bill anyway.
"Come to think of it, where's Smaug? Why hasn't he shown up?"
Remembering something, King Théoden asked, "Smaug is the best choice for dealing with those Ents. One blast of fire could burn them all away."
"That dragon? He's in the Golden Forest courting the Elf Queen."
Ganahta said with a look of disgust, "He kept saying he wasn't interested in the Elf Queen, saying he wouldn't steal another man's wife. Yet the moment they met, he immediately started flirting with her."
"Smaug and the Elf Queen got together?"
King Théoden was completely stunned. It was somewhat surprising that the Elf Queen could make a Fire Dragon fall in love, but it was not impossible. After all, the Elf Queen was simply too beautiful.
King Théoden had once met the Elf Queen. For an entire year afterward, he had no interest whatsoever in any other woman. His mind contained nothing but the Elf Queen. Only after a year did things gradually improve, though her image still remained in his heart.
