After awakening, the new ability users immediately went to the gate to help Boromir and Faramir. Working together, they failed to destroy Grond, but managed to stop it from attacking any further.
Time flew by. About half an hour later, the ground began shaking violently.
"A large cavalry force is approaching?"
The Orc commander was experienced and immediately realized what was happening. Sure enough, a scout soon reported, "Commander, the Kingdom of Rohan's cavalry has arrived."
"They're finally here."
The Orc commander snorted and ordered the Orcs at the rear to turn around and raise their shields and spears, ready for the Rohan Cavalry.
Though the Rohan Cavalry was unrivaled, the Orcs had long since prepared a trump card to deal with cavalry.
As the tremors grew increasingly violent, three armies soon appeared on the hillside: the Kingdom of Rohan's cavalry, the Elf Cavalry, and the Dwarf Army.
Apart from their commanders, who rode goats, the Dwarves were all infantry—heavy infantry, to be precise. Every one of them wore thick, heavy battle armor and looked imposing.
These three reinforcing armies had clearly arranged to arrive together. When the defenders saw that they had finally come, they erupted in cheers. Wonderful! Reinforcements were finally here.
"The Dwarves came too? But the Tree-man Legion is nowhere to be seen?"
The Orc commander frowned. The Elves' arrival had been expected, but the commander had not anticipated the Dwarves joining them. After all, the Dwarves had not appeared on the previous battlefield.
The Orc commander silently snorted. So what if they're here? Victory will belong only to us Orcs and our great master, Sauron.
"So many Orcs? Have they abandoned even their homeland?"
King Théoden took a deep breath, then drew his sword. Galloping past his soldiers, he touched their weapons with his blade.
