The Deep hurried to make his pledge, while inwardly cursing Translucent. Why the hell did he have to try so hard? Now The Deep had to do the same.
The problem was that his ceiling had long since been fixed. There was no way he could make any major improvements. He was really in trouble now. He had finally returned to The Seven, and although they were with a different company now, he had no desire to leave again.
Besides, The Deep was an undercover agent for the Disaster Countermeasures Bureau. If he got kicked out of The Seven, who knew what that crazy woman Newman would do to him?
