"I never imagined Mister Wether was that sort of person. But thinking about it, no one but a demon would have funded me so generously."

Dr. Wade was indignant at first, then continued, "I approached plenty of potential backers to fund my resurrection experiment. They all looked at me like I was a con artist. Only Mister Wether supported me, and he placed almost no limits on the funding. That was clearly suspicious."

Andrew shook his head and explained what had happened with Frankenstein. Dr. Wade was astonished. "Frankenstein's story was actually real? How on earth did he manage it? Electricity hadn't even been invented in his time, had it?"

"He could have used bioelectricity, or lightning."

Andrew said, "You'll learn the details eventually. Dr. Wade, I'd like to ask you a favor."

"Stop the experiments, right? No problem. If Mister Wether is a Demon Prince, I certainly can't keep conducting experiments for him."

Dr. Wade nodded, then asked hopefully, "Director, do you know any wealthy backers? The kind with more money than sense, who'd be willing to fund me?"

"Of course. If your experiment succeeds, it could revive people who've just died. That's meaningful work. I'll find someone to invest in you."
