"Sir, three hours is nowhere near enough. Most of the things you listed aren't easy to get. Take palladium, for example—it has to go through a lot of procedures before I can get my hands on it. It's not something you can buy at a supermarket with a phone call."

After hearing Andrew, Lyle frowned. "Besides, how do I know you're not lying to me?"

Cyberdyne Systems was not yet a super corporation that dominated the world, but it was already publicly listed. Lyle also had extensive connections, and he could obtain most of the things Andrew wanted—provided he was given a month or two. Three hours was almost impossible.

Why didn't Andrew go to someone richer? The reason was simple: if he approached some family, he would be greeted by fully armed mercenaries.

A deal? What a joke. Why trade when they could just take it by force? No business sense at all.

Besides, Lyle himself was one of Andrew's targets.

"Mister Lyle, I think you've misunderstood something. I'm not bargaining with you. I'm telling you my terms. Either fulfill them or abandon the deal."

With that, Andrew hung up directly. Lyle was utterly dumbfounded. Wasn't that a little too forceful? Was he sure he was negotiating business?

As unhappy as he was, Lyle knew he had to make this deal. If another company got hold of that system, his precious company could basically declare bankruptcy.

Should I do something?

Lyle's eyes flickered. He was no saint; otherwise, he would never have been able to turn Cyberdyne Systems into a giant in the future.

However, after some thought, Lyle decided to meet the other party first. As a newly rich man, he was more cautious than those old-established families and, comparatively speaking, less domineering.

Of course, caution was caution.
