What Death did not know was that this elderly Terminator had adopted Sarah as a child and raised her, making him something of a foster father to her. He had also known everything from the beginning and told Sarah all of it.

In other words, the elderly Terminator and Sarah knew a T800 would arrive tonight, and that Kyle Reese would arrive as well. So they had dealt with the T800 first, then hurried toward Kyle Reese's location to rescue him.

Although Death knew none of this, it did not stop her from quietly slipping into the damaged T800's body. Then she used liquid metal to rapidly repair its systems.

Soon, the T800 was fully repaired and completely under Death's control. Death smiled faintly, took control of the T800, and kicked at the elderly Terminator beside her.

Bam! Death's kick struck the elderly Terminator, sending him crashing through the rear doors and tumbling across the road.

"Pops!"

Hearing the noise behind her, Sarah shouted and looked back from the cab. Death wasted no time. She punched through the partition between the cargo compartment and the cab, then reached for Sarah's face with a steel hand, intending to pin her against the partition and crush her alive.

Had this been the Sarah from the previous world, she would have been utterly helpless. But this world's Sarah had undergone the elderly Terminator's rigorous training and was a capable fighter.

Thus, although the attack caught her off guard, Sarah did not panic. She calmly jerked the steering wheel to the right. The truck swerved sharply, flinging Death off balance and into the side of the cargo compartment before she fell back down.

Having escaped certain death, Sarah knew she had no advantage fighting inside the truck. She grabbed the combat backpack beside her,
