Samantha stared fixedly at the Monster Detector before her. Whenever she discovered an area with too many monsters for the police to handle, she would immediately contact the superheroes and have them deal with it.
New York was famous for having plenty of superheroes. As long as the entire city was not in chaos, calling for reinforcements was relatively easy. After all, this was already the third time; they had experience now.
"So many red dots. The third wave really is terrifying. New York is manageable, but if other cities are like this too, we'll be in trouble."
Samantha sighed inwardly. The number of troops and superheroes in other cities was nowhere near that of New York.
That was indeed the case. Compared to New York, the situation in other cities was extremely dire. It was not that they had made no preparations. In fact, they had deployed police officers, soldiers, and Ability Users. They also had everything they should have had, including police Battle Armor, military Battle Armor, Sonic Cannons, and more.
But there were simply too many monsters. Without powerful superheroes, they were struggling to hold the line. Seeing this, Director Newman immediately began deploying forces and sent superheroes to support the other cities.
"Rat Catcher, take your dozens of rat leaders to Detroit. The monsters there are getting a little out of hand."
Director Newman instructed, "Control the rats over there and have them attack the Roaches. Protect the civilians as much as possible. I'll send two Ability Users specifically to keep you safe."
"I don't really care where I go."
Rat Catcher blinked and said, "But this counts as a business trip, so I need extra pay."
Director Newman looked at Rat Catcher speechlessly. Whose kid was this? So young, yet already this greedy for money?
