Samantha couldn't help laughing. Given what she knew of Andrew, a certain turtle was about to have a very bad time.
"What are you talking about? King of Abilities, do you really think you can defeat me?"
Earth Turtle roared. After signing the Contract, Andrew had removed the restraints on its soul, so it was free now and able to fight at full strength.
More importantly, when they signed the Contract earlier, Earth Turtle had specifically added a clause forbidding Andrew from launching a Battle of Consciousness against it. Under those circumstances, it had no reason to fear Andrew anymore.
"Without a Battle of Consciousness, even ten Kings of Abilities wouldn't be my match."
Earth Turtle was immensely pleased with itself. The next second, its vision blurred, and it appeared inside a Consciousness Illusion. The entire turtle was dumbfounded. What the hell was this?
As Andrew warmed up, he said, "I could beat you up outside too, but it would cause too much of a commotion. Besides, it's more satisfying to beat you up in here."
Earth Turtle began to panic. It shouted, "What are you trying to do? No, according to the Contract, you can't launch a Battle of Consciousness against me. King of Abilities, aren't you afraid of the Contract's punishment?"
"I haven't violated the Contract."
Andrew said calmly, "The Contract says I can't launch a Battle of Consciousness against you, but you can launch one against me. Can't you feel it? You created this illusion yourself."
"How is that possible?"
Earth Turtle froze, then quickly realized what had happened. "Life Link?"
"That's right, Life Link. This magic may sound as if it only links lives, but in fact, it links minds as well."
Andrew said calmly, "I'm using your mental energy to launch a Battle of Consciousness
