The Lord of Order said, "The prayer ceremony and the faithful must all be ready in New York. Nothing can go wrong. And Europe must not discover this ahead of time. We absolutely cannot afford another complication."
"Rest assured, my Lord. One of the angels you sent is proficient in Space Magic."
The archbishop said respectfully, "We can use Lord Angel's magic to transfer large quantities of sacred objects to New York. At the same time, our senior clergy will secretly travel to New York through Magic Teleportation.
"That way, Europe's spies won't discover anything. They've sent plenty of spies to the Vatican, but we've identified them all. That is our holy land, after all."
After a pause, the archbishop continued, "With so many sacred objects, we can set up the prayer ceremony again in a short time. Although its effects will be a little weaker than in the Vatican, I believe we can succeed under your protection.
"As for the faithful, please rest assured, my Lord. President Tracy will mobilize the entire nation's transportation resources to send them to New York. That's another reason we chose New York: it has an extensive transportation network and a large population.
"In addition, we've taken control of broadcasting systems worldwide and already conducted some preliminary publicity. Once the Great Prayer Ceremony begins, broadcasts around the world will simultaneously transmit the holy chants, guiding people everywhere to pray together."
Television did not yet exist in this era, so they could only use radio broadcasts. The broadcasting systems were one reason the Angel Church needed so much preparation time.
There was no helping it. Technology was not advanced enough, and Earth had yet to become a global village. Communication was an enormous hassle.
