The beauty in the red dress beside Duke Victor spoke with a smile. She was his secretary and trusted subordinate, calling herself the Serpent Countess. Unlike Duke Victor, however, she held no actual title. It was merely a name she had given herself.
Of course, that did not matter. Once Duke Victor's grand undertaking succeeded, she would become a genuine Serpent Countess.
