General Ross was extremely dissatisfied with Andrew's decision. The expedition was about to begin, yet the commander-in-chief had run off. What kind of nonsense was that?
Unfortunately, Andrew paid General Ross no attention whatsoever. Helpless, General Ross could only figure out how to make up for the problem himself. Fortunately, Andrew possessed Teleportation Ability. If anything really happened, he could return immediately.
The civilians, soldiers, and Ability Users had no idea Andrew had already left. They were eagerly preparing to enter New York.
In fact, Andrew's unannounced departure would not cause any major problems, because once the Gathering Place's army entered New York, they would discover that Andrew had already cleaned the city out once.
As for the Ability User organizations in the city, Andrew had not touched them, leaving them for Mary and the others to handle.
Mary and the others would investigate those Ability Users' pasts. If they had committed serious crimes, they would naturally be killed outright. If not, they would be kept as laborers, cannon fodder, and so on.
New York was not far from Detroit, only a little over a thousand kilometers away. By car, it would take around ten hours. Andrew did not have a car, but he had a flying mount. At full speed, he could reach his destination in two or three hours.
However, Andrew had no intention of going there yet. There was still a month left, so there was no point in arriving so early. He planned to clear out Monsters all the way there.
On one hand, this could greatly increase his experience—Ability Users in many cities were not strong enough, resulting in enormous numbers of Monsters. It was perfect for someone like Andrew, who excelled at large-scale battles.
On the other hand, it was naturally to save people.
