Why was the Speaker cursing them?
Because those Heroes had traced a case back to a certain Council member. Of course, that was not the most important part. What mattered was that they had killed that Council member during the battle. How could the Speaker not be furious?
Rules were what mattered most. The Heroes could investigate what those Council members had done, but they could not simply kill them. If they dared kill a Council member today, would they dare kill him, the Speaker, tomorrow?
"Next, I need to find a way to send these Heroes to their deaths. Only then will the other Heroes understand what they should and should not do."
The Speaker snorted inwardly. Nearly all members of the Human Race in this world were Ability Users, since Abilities could be inherited, and Ability Users had once fought a war against ordinary people. The Ability Users had won.
Unfortunately, even though the Ability Users had won, the rules had not changed much. The upper class still suppressed those with powerful Abilities. The only
