"Mm."
The Spider-Men nodded. They also felt that the Mastermind might have his reasons. After all, how could Spider-Man be a bad guy?
Andrew said nothing more, merely reminding him, "Miles, there's something you need to do right now."
"What? Check in at school, or eat lunch?" Miles asked. "Uh, don't say tie my shoelaces. I left them untied on purpose."
"No. Go home and get everyone you care about out of there."
"Kingpin will find your home soon," Andrew said. "He'll take your family hostage and use them to threaten us."
"What?"
Miles was horrified. Middle-aged Spider-Man said, "That's why we always wear masks. Miles, you let your guard down. Of course, so did we. We didn't expect it to be a trap."
"Let's hurry and help get Miles's family somewhere safe."
Shadow Spider-Man spoke, and everyone nodded. Miles hurriedly led the way.
The people Miles cared about most were his parents and his uncle. His father was a police officer who had little fondness for Spider-Man. When he heard that his son had become Spider-Man, his first response was, "Are you kidding me?"
"No joke. We're leaving right now. Anything else can wait."
Andrew spoke, but Miles's father said, "I'm a police officer. Why should I run? At worst, I can move into the police dormitory."
Everyone was about to persuade him when Miles received a call from his uncle Allen. Allen said urgently, "Miles, get your parents out of the house right now. Kingpin has already started investigating your identity.
"And tell that stubborn old fool that half the police department's higher-ups work for Kingpin. Don't let him be stupid enough to move into the police dormitory. That's no different from walking to his death."
"..."
Miles had put the call on speaker, so everyone heard him.
