Andrew looked utterly scornful. Clark was an honest man and hurried to explain, "That wasn't what I meant..."
Andrew laughed. "Just kidding. She's a Kryptonian, and she looks familiar to you. Maybe she's a relative."
"A relative?"
Clark blinked. If that were true, it would be wonderful.
In fact, the girl really was Clark's relative, and a very close one at that—she was his older cousin, the future Supergirl, Kara Zor-El.
Andrew hadn't watched much of the Supergirl TV series before crossing over, so he only knew the broad outline. He couldn't help it; the fight scenes were so awful that he simply couldn't keep watching.
Kara and Clark had escaped the destruction of Krypton on the same day, but she had been unlucky enough to get swept into the Phantom Zone, where she had spent many years.
Because time stood still in the Phantom Zone, Kara remained thirteen years old.
After a while, Kara woke up. She was a little panicked at first, but she soon spotted the S-shield on Clark's chest and immediately relaxed.
