"Master Emerald? Buddy, that's something from a fairy tale. It isn't real."
Sonic was stunned. "Even if it is real, how would I know where it is?"
"The clues to the Master Emerald have always been in Long Claw's hands. You were her closest student, so she must have told you the clues."
Knuckles said, "Sonic, don't waste my time. Hand over the clues."
Long Claw was an owl and Sonic's teacher. Years ago, she had died at the hands of the Echidna Tribe while protecting Sonic.
"I don't know anything about clues."
Sonic shouted. Before Long Claw died, she had only left him a bag of Golden Rings and a map for escaping. There had been no clues at all—the map was actually the clue, but Sonic did not know that.
"Then don't blame me for getting rough."
Knuckles stopped wasting words and charged at Sonic with Red Light blazing around him. Sonic responded by smashing toward Knuckles in a streak of blue light.
The next second, a blue streak and a red streak collided violently. With a bang, Sonic was sent flying backward and rolled repeatedly across the ground. At the same time, his clothes were blown apart by Bao, revealing his true hedgehog form.
Wow!
Cries of shock erupted from all around. Blue Justice was actually a hedgehog? A talking hedgehog with incredible speed?
"This guy is ridiculously strong."
Sonic climbed up from the ground. Just as he was about to counterattack, he saw the astonished, fearful looks around him. Only then did he realize his disguise was gone, and panic rose in him.
At that moment, Flash said, "Sonic is an extraterrestrial hedgehog. He has already been certified by Mr. Wang and is now a Justice League reserve member. He isn't a bad guy—uh, bad hedgehog."
