Diana sighed. "They've built enough nuclear bombs to destroy themselves hundreds of times over. Do they think their lives are too long?"
"They started out just wanting to deter each other. Then they kept making more and more bombs, until they couldn't back down."
Andrew smiled. "That's why the American Military is always so desperate to sell nuclear bombs. They have far too many. Who knows how much they spend on maintenance alone every year?"

After a moment's thought, Rorschach turned and ran in another direction. He had brought the pursuers here, so he should lead them away rather than drag Andrew and Diana into it.
