Doctor Manhattan's duplicate looked at Second Silk Spectre and said, "Now that you've left me, why should I save a world that has nothing to do with me?"
"Do it for me, all right? If you truly love me."
Second Silk Spectre pleaded with Doctor Manhattan's duplicate. He replied, "I came all the way from Earth to Mars for you. Isn't that enough proof of my love?"
Second Silk Spectre had no answer. Then Doctor Manhattan's duplicate lifted her into the air with his power and said, "I prefer red Mars to blue Earth. It's quiet, and far more beautiful than Earth."
"What do you mean?" Second Silk Spectre asked in alarm. "You're not going back to Earth?"
"No. I don't like Earth. Humanity's existence isn't actually good for the planet."
Doctor Manhattan's duplicate shook his head. Second Silk Spectre asked, "Then you don't care whether the people on Earth live or die, either?"
"From the perspective of the universe, humanity's survival is utterly insignificant."
Hearing the duplicate's words, Diana said as she fended off Doctor Manhattan's attacks, "You've lost your humanity completely."
"That was inevitable. Honestly, I don't understand why someone as powerful as you still retains so much humanity."
Doctor Manhattan said, "Those humans aren't even the same kind of being as you. Everything they do looks like slow motion to us.
"If I didn't love Laurey, I would have left long ago."
"I've always lived among humans. Of course I have humanity. Doctor Manhattan, you're standing too far above everyone else."
Diana spoke, but Doctor Manhattan shook his head and focused on the fight, intent on driving Andrew and Diana out of this universe as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, Second Silk Spectre broke down completely
