The Sacred Griffin Empire possessed nine Great Domains.

All of them were Great Domains it fully controlled and had completely developed, with countless treasure grounds.

They were unlike the Twilight Great Domain and vicissitudes Great Domain under the Tai Xuan Alliance. Within those Great Domains, only a portion actually belonged to Tai Xuan territory, and most of that territory was still undeveloped wilderness. The remaining regions of the Great Domains either belonged to other major nations and powerful forces, or were neutral regions scattered with countless territories.

With just these nine Great Domains, the Sacred Griffin Empire's territory was at least a dozen times larger than the Tai Xuan Alliance's.

What was more, the Sacred Griffin Empire also possessed countless medium-sized realms and island domains. It even owned vast enclaves in many Great Domains. However, those enclaves in more dangerous Great Domains were merely peripheral territory to the Sacred Griffin Empire.

They had them, sure.

And losing them was no great loss.

Precisely because all nine of the Sacred Griffin Empire's Great Domains were far from the Red Mist Land, hardly a wisp of Red Mist could be seen anywhere in the Great Domains during the Great Calamity. The sky remained bright. If not for the three indistinct, round, strange moons hanging high at the edge of the heavens, no one would have been able to tell that a Great Calamity was raging.

The garrison troops in the cities throughout the empire were indeed elite, made up of soldiers and professionals with rather high realms, but their usual patrols were mostly for show.

Frightened by the Sacred Griffin Empire's prestige, hardly any outsiders dared cause trouble inside the empire.
