Sword Pride fought while retreating, leaving countless sword rays in his wake. Of the seven Great Devils and Nan Batian who had initially pursued him,
only four Devils remained.
The other three Devils and Nan Batian had stopped pursuing him because of their severe injuries.
"Quick, that sword cultivator is already badly wounded! Put in more effort and leave him here for good!" one blood-covered Devil roared.
"No. Let him go!" another Devil shook his head.
"What did you say?" the earlier Devil objected.
"This man is definitely one of the few peerless powerhouses in the Great Chiliocosm World. If we continue pursuing him, it won't be him who remains behind—it'll be us!" That Devil shook his head.
All at once, the Devils fell silent.
They looked at themselves. Their bodies were covered in blood and wounds, and Sword Pride had severed each of them once. Across from them, Sword Pride appeared heavily injured, but throughout the entire journey, his strength had not been affected in the slightest.
"Whoosh!"
The four Devils halted.
In the distance, the blood-covered Sword Pride stopped as well. He turned and cast a cold glance at the four Devils.
That single glance made all four Devils certain that their earlier judgment had been correct.
"Hiss!" They drew a deep breath and no longer had any thought of pursuing Sword Pride. At the very least, now was not the time.
"I'll come again!" Sword Pride revealed a cold smile.
"Whoosh!"
Sword Pride transformed into a streak of sword light and vanished into the horizon in an instant, moving several times faster than before.
The four Devils' expressions darkened.
"The King was right!" one Devil said with an ugly expression.
"In the past, we thought that we alone would be enough to overturn the Great Chiliocosm World.
