"Torches Are Needed Ahead"
In ancient Radiance, most soldiers only trained in two types of combat arts: Sword-Wielding and Prairie Fire. Sword-Wielding Combat Arts could adapt to most battlefields and made it convenient to form battle arrays. Sword-Wielding units could even advance deep into forests and mountains to exterminate entire clans.
Prairie Fire Combat Arts, however, were the number one cold-weapon combat arts when it came to instantaneous destructive power—bar none!
With their rapidly spinning spearheads and light explosions coiling around the spear tips, Prairie Fire Martial Artists could pierce a huge hole with a single thrust. However, the classroom corridor was an ideal battlefield, and the Prairie Fire Martial Artists had seized the perfect moment.
The two remaining Grass Cutter Emissaries said nothing. Instead, one of the Curse Hunters chanted a few lines in an unintelligible dialect and said, "The sooner you die, the sooner you'll be reborn."
No one moved rashly. Even after seeing the gunners flee, they did not give chase—who knew whether there were more ambushes?
Although they had been mentally prepared, the deaths of the Grass Cutter Emissaries still
