Why did the Loyal Minister arc end before Le Yu died and replaced the next target?
Brief answer: because two branches would emerge at this point in time.
One branch leads to the Loyal Minister IF Route, a happy ending where everyone gets what they want.
The other branch leads to the next volume, the true ending.

Quite a few readers may have already realized that Rebirth Through Death is actually a product of Ting Ri's illness.
After all, aside from being sick in the head, it would be hard to explain why an author would use such an utterly unreasonable core premise to write a web novel. There were a thousand ways to write a web novel and make money, yet I just had to choose this one. Clearly, I was sick.
