Boom—
A crack appeared out of nowhere on the Giant Pillar, so tiny it was almost imperceptible. Then it began spreading rapidly, creeping outward until it covered his entire body.
Pure darkness poured from it, impossible to contain or cut off.
Beiling shrieked, struggling desperately to mend it, but even the Mother's Thread could not close that tiny crack. The chaotic Black Flame had already penetrated deep within and, with unerring precision, opened a hole in the deepest recesses of his soul!
As though a needle had pricked him.
The pain pierced his heart.
Yet to Beiling, suffering like this amounted to less than a speck of dust.
Normally, he would have paid no attention to an attack that barely scratched him. Even ten or a hundred times stronger, it would not have frightened or shaken him.
But this tiny breach had appeared directly in the seal he had painstakingly woven, allowing the suppressed urge toward self-destruction to gush from the depths of his soul once again, like a waterfall.
That was how a dam burst. Even if it began with the smallest opening, once the breach appeared, nothing could undo it.
The Self-Destruction Poison planted by Turning Wheel sprouted anew, spreading and swelling until it engulfed Beiling. One face after another on the Giant Pillar wailed shrilly and rapidly split apart!
The balance among the mind bodies, only just restored, shattered. Their contradictions erupted into rampant conflict and slaughter within his soul.
Still more mind bodies were actually scrambling to slit their own throats and depart this world.
The pillar of flesh convulsed. Beiling screamed.
A profound chill had utterly engulfed him. Twitching, he frantically tried to suppress the Self-Destruction Poison again, his crimson eyes fixing on the figure right before him.
Wuming reappeared, locked on, and erupted!
