I'm immensely grateful!
For a long time, I thought I had grown used to the problems that came with starting every new volume.
I always felt terrible before a volume, terrible during it, and terrible at the end of it—agonizing over the plot at the start, the execution in the middle, and the next volume at the end.
Unfortunately, this time was especially severe.
My anxiety and insomnia relapsed and worsened for a while, to the point that I started shutting myself away while hugging Duo Duo.
Little Pearl was practically about to fall.
The problem was that I suddenly realized there was a huge issue with the main plotline of the follow-up story—disastrously destructive enough that it needed emergency repairs.
Because of that, I even revised the contents of this volume, causing the main plotline that should have connected earlier to be delayed. The subsequent plot is still undecided, and I'm repeatedly weighing several different outlines.
This volume hadn't been particularly difficult to write, and I really shouldn't have taken time off to slack around, but I truly didn't dare to rush into the next one.
Please allow me a few days to think it over, and then we'll enter the happy times of wildly cutting down weeds and killing, killing, killing, killing, killing, killing!
