But immediately afterward, a horrifying rustling rose from the bottom of the abyss, and the enormous serpent body writhing in the darkness suddenly swelled.
It bloated rapidly, as if rotting.
Amid the sound of countless wings beating, a torrent of moths hatched from the darkness. One after another, they burrowed out of flesh and blood, gathering together as ash-gray darkness spread across the sky.
They erupted upward!
Moths as large as ordinary people spread their bizarre scaled wings. The patterns upon them writhed strangely, outlining one Blood Eye-like Totem after another. As their wings beat, the eyes seemed to blink, weeping tears of blood.
Now, as the endless moths rose into the heavens, dancing and spreading without restraint, they formed a sea tide that blotted out the sky and sun.
