It was as if legendary angels had suddenly descended.
Wings of light grew from behind those figures. Their faces were beautiful as works of art, swords and long spears in hand as they raced after them. With casual swings of their weapons, they carved deep furrows into the ground or unleashed impacts and explosions like artillery bombardments.
On the ground, the battered convoy fled in vain, occasionally firing guns or raising RPGs to fight back, but to no effect.
Bullets flew out and struck the angels' faces, at most making them stagger.
They could not even break through their defenses.
All they could do was delay them futilely, unable to escape the figures constantly diving down from the heavens.
The foremost angel plunged straight down, easily tearing apart the compartment Ji Jue was in and peering inside. The instant he saw Wen Wen and Ji Jue, his golden eyes turned scarlet.

Wen Wen threw a punch, and the angel who had barged in burst apart and flew backward as though an egg had smashed headlong into a stone.
Ji Jue vaguely saw the headless, mutilated corpse tumbling through the wind before crashing to the ground. Yet soon afterward, it actually climbed back up.
Its head rapidly grew back.
It had not been killed by that punch.!
Upon its twisted skull, the eyes that had fallen out of their sockets still stared fixedly in the direction they had gone. It let out a shrill scream, calling for its companions.
"Don't let your guard down. Speed up."
Wen Wen knocked on the bulkhead of the driver's cabin
