Chen Fan froze when he heard that. Could he really lure Aiwass away? If he could, then having a face-to-face talk with Aleister would not be impossible. After all, Aiwass possessed a wealth of knowledge, and learning ways to improve himself from her would be well worth it. Anything beyond friendship could take its time. Chen Fan also glanced at the Board of Directors building.
Just as Chen Fan was lost in thought, Aiwass suddenly vanished. She had presumably left. In truth, she could not quite stand Chen Fan's thoughts about going beyond friendship. His boldness amused her, but she did not want him getting any ideas in that direction.
Having seen Aiwass with his own eyes, Chen Fan understood what kind of existence she was. Everything depended on her interests, and she did not care much about the existence of this body. If ranked according to esper levels, Chen Fan felt she was roughly Level 9 or perhaps Level 10. Someone like Chen Fan, who had only barely stepped into Level 6, could not even hope to reach such heights. No, more accurately, he did not even have the chance to look up at her. After all, this was not even a true avatar, merely a portion of her power.
The students in Academy City were still somewhat worried. Although no missiles had yet fallen on Academy City, there was no guarantee they would not. Academy City's technology was extremely advanced, and its anti-missile systems were powerful as well. Russia was, after all, a superpower.
