An old man was also heading this way. He too was a God Slayer, intending to seize two prey while the opportunity presented itself. Disobedient Gods were disasters, but they were also prey for certain God Slayers. The more gods they killed, the more Authorities they gained, and the stronger they became. In that sense, God Slayers could be considered enemies of one another. Rivals were natural foes, after all. But this old man's plans had clearly come to nothing this time.

Not long after Chen Fan and Erica left, a gust of black wind swept through the site of the battle. An old man appeared there. His name was Sasha Dejan Stardat Voban. He was a God Slayer, and the oldest among them. Having slain numerous Disobedient Gods, he had gained many Authorities and possessed formidable strength.
Having heard that two gods were fighting here, he had rushed over specifically to reap the rewards. Yet when he arrived, all he saw was an empty beach. He frowned. Had the battle ended so quickly? Was he too late? Had the gap in strength between the two sides been so great that the battle ended after causing only this much destruction?
