Chen Fan immediately puffed out his chest, raised his head, and patted his chest as he said to Romeo, "Kids have the purest eyes. They tell the truth. Just for calling me a 'good person,' Brother Chen Fan will take this on." After saying that, he glanced around, his nostrils practically pointed at the sky.

"Hey, hey, can you even do it? I've never seen you kill so much as a chicken since we were kids..." Gray said from the side.

"You'd better not go. You don't even know attack magic. Even though you've gotten a lot stronger physically, you're still too weak!" someone else said from the side.

"Yeah." "Yeah."...

I never knew Brother Chen Fan couldn't use attack magic. I can't let Brother Chen Fan risk his life. With that, he burst into tears and ran out.

"It has nothing to do with you. I failed to think things through as well. I thought that keeping these children under my wings would protect them, but I never expected it would harm them instead! You're right. Wizards should have pride, but it should come after life. Human lives are at stake." Makarov sighed.

At that moment, Natsu punched the notice board and turned to walk out of the guild. Seeing this, Lucy worriedly followed him out.

Chen Fan's Past

Seeing this, Chen Fan said to Makarov, "Guild Master, I'll go check on Romeo too. That kid might be unable to get over it. Who knows what he might do."

"Alright, go on. That child's mother is gone, and no one knows what's happened to his father. He's probably crying somewhere right now," Makarov said to Chen Fan.

Chen Fan really was not suited to staying in the guild right now. He had just berated quite a few people in the guild, and the atmosphere had become somewhat heavy. It was time to give them a chance to reflect.

Macao's pride was pride, but didn't Chen Fan have pride too? After all, he was a wizard of Fairy Tail, and a very great wizard at that.

Did they look down on him just because he did not use attack magic? He was someone who could even influence the Magic Council. Even Makarov, the guild master, could not accomplish that.

Could an ordinary wizard achieve something like that? They realized they had truly underestimated Chen Fan. They had been misled by the usual muddleheaded, foolish Chen Fan, the Chen Fan who loved playing little tricks, and had made a nearly unforgivable mistake.

"Chen Fan, wait a moment." Mira suddenly called out to Chen Fan.

Chen Fan turned back in confusion. Didn't Mira usually ignore him? He saw Mira holding some food and handing it to him.

Touched, Chen Fan said, "Mira, is this for me?"

"No. I'm asking you to take it to Romeo. His father hasn't been around these past few days, and he probably hasn't been eating well either. Take this to him and have him eat something. Don't let him go hungry," Mira said gently to Chen Fan.

"Oh... leave it to me." Chen Fan placed his clenched right fist against his chest, looking very childlike.

Mira returned to the counter and wiped the cups.

"I was just wondering whether you thought the same way they did." Makarov waved a hand as if he did not care.
