Chen Fan also drew his sword from his back and continued forward without slowing. Just as the wolf was about to pounce on him and tear out his throat—
"Rip!" A sound like cloth being violently torn rang out. Chen Fan's sword actually sliced the Gray Wild Wolf's body in half.
"Bang!" The wolf was slain by Chen Fan. As though he had done something utterly insignificant, he sheathed his sword on his back and walked into the distance.
He left behind a group of stunned people. One of them pointed at Chen Fan's retreating figure in disbelief. "That guy just one-shot a level-two monster with a single sword strike! How is that possible?!"
"Yeah! It took so many of us so much effort to deal with one wolf, but he killed it all by himself so easily."
"I thought he was going to die under that wolf's attack. Who would've thought he was actually an expert!"
"What a pity! An expert like that didn't stay."
Along the way, Chen Fan encountered several level-two monsters, but they were not his target today. He had discovered back at level two that the experience gained from killing level-two monsters had dropped considerably. Only by fighting monsters above his level could he gain more experience.
Today, Chen Fan intended not only to reach the second town, but also to find a higher-level grinding area. After walking for about half an hour, he arrived at the level-three monster area. It was a forest filled with level-three Poison Bees. They resembled bees, but were about the size of owls. Besides ordinary attacks, they could fire poisonous stingers from their tails, dealing considerable damage.
Chen Fan checked the map. The second town was not too far away, and the monster density here was pretty good
