(Chapter 44: Red Name Guild)
Kratir seemed genuinely frightened out of his wits. Chen Fan had nearly killed him. Asuna said to Kratir, "Kratir, go back. I'll speak to the guild leader myself about the guard assignment."
"I'll report everything to the guild leader exactly as it happened." Kratir did not dare say anything more and slunk away. Though he hid it well, the resentment on his face was still visible, as if he wanted to kill Chen Fan with his own hands.
Chen Fan, Asuna, and Agil all returned to the equipment shop. Asuna was still far too conspicuous walking around openly.
Chen Fan smiled at Asuna. "You really know how to cause trouble for me."
"What do you mean, I'm causing trouble for you? I was praising you the whole time. That really hurts." Asuna smiled at Chen Fan. She knew he would not mind.
Chen Fan smiled and waved his hand. "All right, then. What did you call me here for this time?"
"Can't I ask you over just to chat?" Asuna looked at Chen Fan.
Chen Fan smiled. "I might believe it if it were someone else, but hearing that from Miss Asuna, who treats clearing labyrinths as her personal mission, isn't very convincing."
"Hmph!" Asuna gave a soft snort. Though she wanted to say she had not sought him out because of some matter, it really was just as Chen Fan had said. Then, Asuna's expression turned serious as she looked at Chen Fan. "There is something I want to discuss with you this time."
Chen Fan grew curious. Given Asuna's personality, if something came up, she could have simply found him. They had leveled together several times before, so why had she called him out alone this time?
