The pace had dropped to roughly one floor per week, and many people had begun to despair of ever clearing the labyrinth. The sudden acceleration rekindled their hopes of clearing it. After doing the math, the players realized that the once unreachable summit of the labyrinth now had only thirty floors remaining.
