At that moment, Makarov said, "I'm old." Upon hearing this, Chen Fan finally understood what Makarov wanted to say. An anxious look appeared on his face, as though he were eager to say something.

But Makarov raised a hand to stop him, signaling Chen Fan not to speak as he continued, "I know what you want to say, but listen to me first."

Seeing Chen Fan calm down, Makarov spoke in a somewhat heavy tone. "I'm old, but there still isn't anyone in Fairy Tail who can put my mind at ease—except you. Goldman was right today. In truth, I want you to inherit Fairy Tail and become the next guild master."

Seeing Chen Fan grow restless again, Makarov cast a binding spell. A ring of light restrained Chen Fan, and a Silence Magic sealed his mouth. The magical glow illuminated the entire room.

Chen Fan did not resist Makarov either. He knew that Makarov, as guild master, must have something important to say, so he simply went along with it, staring wide-eyed at Makarov.

"Of course, not now. My body can still hold up for the time being. I still want to watch everyone in the guild smile happily every day, drink joyfully, and call me Guild Master. I only brought you here this time so you could get to know the guild masters of the various guilds and build good relationships with them. You don't have to answer me now. Chen Fan lowered his head and walked toward the door. Makarov did not stop him. As he closed the door, Chen Fan stood with his back to Makarov and said firmly, "Old man, don't overthink it. Fairy Tail will always be the strongest guild. It won't be erased, and everyone in the guild will be happy."

"Click!" The door closed with a soft sound.

Only then did Makarov close his wide-open mouth. With a self-mocking smile, he said, "What a kid. I really am no match for the young anymore!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a lecherous grin appeared on his face. I've struck gold. He buried his head beneath the blanket and let out a terrifying laugh, completely ruining the touching atmosphere from before.

Meanwhile, Chen Fan did not return to his room. There had been too many troubling matters today, and he needed an outlet. So he raced through the forest outside the villa, kicking up clouds of dust.

He stopped far away from the villa, looked at the full moon in the sky, then closed his eyes and breathed in the fresh air through his nose.

Suddenly, Chen Fan said calmly, "You can come out now, you little pests. Aren't you tired after following me all this way?"

The Magic Council's?

As soon as Chen Fan finished speaking, several figures appeared around him with a series of whooshes. Killing intent began spreading through the area, startling a flock of crows from the trees.

Without a word of greeting, they immediately unleashed several spells at Chen Fan—fireballs, Ice Arrows, Earth Spikes. All kinds of magic rubbed against the air with whistling sounds as they charged toward Chen Fan, surrounding him from every direction.

"Boom..." All the spells blasted a huge crater into the ground, sending up a cloud of dust. Gradually, the dust scattered in the wind, revealing Chen Fan standing unharmed in the crater, both hands tucked into the pockets of his white coat.

Seeing that Chen Fan was completely uninjured, the group was somewhat shocked. This clearly did not match what was written in the reports. Without speaking, they continued casting magic, and the sounds of "boom, boom" rang out without end.

Chen Fan had known that the Magic Council would come looking for trouble someday, but he had not expected them to be so blatant. It seemed he, Chen Fan, had truly been underestimated. He sighed inwardly.

Since these people had dared to come, they would have to pay the proper price. The corners of Chen Fan's lips curled upward slightly.

With both hands in his pockets, he bent forward slightly and stomped down hard. "Bang!" Chen Fan shot toward one of them like an arrow released from a bow, leaving a deep footprint in the ground beneath him.

His white coat and his feet seeming not to touch the ground as he flew through the air made Chen Fan look like a white ghost beneath the moonlight.

With a whoosh, Chen Fan appeared beside that person as if he had teleported. He lightly patted the man's shoulder with his right hand, just like an ordinary greeting. The man froze in confusion and stared blankly as Chen Fan walked away step by step.

When Chen Fan was about five meters away from him, an intense pain erupted throughout his body. Then his entire body began to twist, his head gradually swelling larger as bloated lumps appeared all over him. "Bang..." His body exploded, blood spraying everywhere in a crimson mist that stained the entire sky red.
