Chen Fan shaded his eyes as he watched Toby fly away. "Oh, he flew. He flew."
Suddenly, a gloomy voice rang out behind Chen Fan. "You'll be flying soon too!" Startled, Chen Fan hurriedly turned around and saw Erza standing behind him with a dark expression, a massive hammer in her hand as she swung it at him.
"Ah!" A miserable scream rang out, making everyone who heard it shudder. They silently mourned for him, touching their foreheads and chests with their index and middle fingers before clasping their hands before their chests. "God, have mercy on this poor child."
Chapter 30: Farce Ends
Inside a tent, Chen Fan was tied to a pillar while Erza held Lucy's whip, snapping it with loud cracks. Sweat immediately beaded on Chen Fan's forehead.
In the corner, Lucy and Happy were bound with ropes and huddled tightly together. They shut their eyes in distress, as though some bloody scene was about to unfold.
Suddenly, Erza tossed the whip to the ground. Chen Fan finally relaxed, thinking, Thank goodness all those years of training weren't for nothing. But soon, his heart clenched again.
A magic sword appeared in Erza's hand. "Don't get worked up, Erza!" Lucy suddenly shouted at her. Afraid she would end up like Chen Fan, she hurriedly spoke up.
But Erza seemed not to hear her and continued swinging her blade toward Chen Fan's neck. At that critical moment, Chen Fan could no longer endure it and shouted, "Wait!!!!"
Erza's sword stopped, but she did not lower it. Lucy and the others opened their eyes as well, wanting to see what Chen Fan had left to say before he died.
"What else do you have to say?" Erza asked Chen Fan coldly.
Chen Fan looked at Erza with a lovestruck gaze.
