"It's not that he doesn't want to use it. He simply doesn't know how. He knows almost nothing about ninjutsu or Illusion Magic," Might Guy said.
"Ah! He's pretty much like Teacher Chen Fan. Teacher Chen Fan can't use ninjutsu or Illusion Magic at all either!"
Tenten said, "Yeah! That's why, seeing that Chen Fan is still such a powerful expert despite being completely unable to use ninjutsu or Illusion Magic, Rock Lee really admires him."

When they heard Tenten say that, they all looked at her in surprise. As several of Chen Fan's students, they all knew that Tenten did not get along with Chen Fan. Yet from what she had just said, it seemed like she no longer disliked him so much.
When everyone suddenly fell silent, Tenten froze for a moment, then immediately realized what she had just said. She turned to look at them and saw them all staring at her in surprise. Her face instantly flushed red. What had she just said?
"What are you looking at? I was only telling the truth. Though I still really hate him," Tenten said.
Everyone nodded in agreement. They all knew Tenten hated Chen Fan.
Tenten curled her lip and said, "Rock Lee's greatest dream is to prove to everyone that even someone who can't use ninjutsu or Illusion Magic can become a great ninja. Chen Fan perfectly demonstrates that a ninja who can't use ninjutsu or Illusion Magic can still be powerful. You could say he directly proved that Rock Lee's dream is real."
Hinata, Shino, and Kiba exchanged glances. The techniques Chen Fan had taught them were simply beyond what anyone else
