In class, Candy and her classmates finally had their first official lesson. The first class was Chinese.

Below the podium, the students listened attentively to their Chinese teacher's lively, interesting lesson. Candy had already studied the first-grade textbooks, but she suddenly realized that everyone else seemed familiar with the material, too.

During break, Candy asked a few classmates and learned that many of them had already studied ahead during summer vacation.

Candy couldn't believe it when she heard the results of her little inquiry. Watching her classmates run around during break, she secretly decided to have her brother buy her the second-grade textbooks as soon as she got home.

Thanks to their homeroom teacher's deliberate arrangement, Xiang-er was still Candy's deskmate. When Xiang-er noticed that Candy had been staring into space for a while, she waved a hand in front of Candy's eyes.

"Candy, what are you thinking about? I've called you twice, and you didn't react at all."

"Huh? Did you call me?"

At that, Candy's dark eyes darted around, and she grinned. "Mo Hanhan Student, next time you call me Mo Xiaoxue, I'll definitely respond."

Then Candy leaned close to Xiang-er's ear and whispered, "We're the only ones in class who still call each other by our little names. It feels kind of awkward, don't you think?"

Xiang-er raised an eyebrow and thought it over for a moment before nodding. "It really does feel a little awkward."

"Then from now on, we'll call each other by our full names."
