Candy wrinkled her brow and scrunched up her rosy nose.

"Isn't it perfectly normal for kids to want to have a snowball fight?"

Mo Jingchun stuck the shovel into the pile of snow, glanced at Candy's indignant face, and replied in an even tone,

"Well said!"

Just as Candy thought her reason had won her brother over, his next words ruined her mood completely.

"Only little kids have snowball fights. You're already a mature first grader."

"So... what does a snowball fight have to do with you?"

"At your age, the thing that has the most to do with you is homework."

Candy didn't want to say another word. She was afraid that if she did, her brother would give her homework.

First-grade homework was no challenge for her, but her brother clearly knew that.

So whenever he assigned her homework, it was always Chinese: endless copying of textbook passages.

That was enough to be the death of her.

Darn it! Her brother had her under his thumb again.

Pouting, Candy gave a resigned snort and strode indoors with her head held high and chest puffed out like a victorious Big White Goose.

Mo Jingchun shook his head, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly despite himself.

"Nice try. You're still too green to take on your big brother."

Zero had watched the whole thing unfold. If he could eat, he would've grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds and settled in to enjoy the show.

Once inside, Mo Jingchun felt the warmth from the air conditioner and took off his down jacket.

Seeing Candy sitting glumly on the sofa, he smiled and asked,

"What do you want for breakfast?"

Candy raised her eyebrows. She actually had a choice when eating breakfast with her brother?
