"Why haven't I seen Candy or Zero?"
Zhou Yaling wore a pretty floral dress with flip-flops on her feet. She yawned nonstop, clearly groggy from sleeping too much.
Mo Jingchun glanced up at his little sister, whose front and back looked exactly the same, and said flatly, "Summer vacation is almost half over, and you haven't written a single word of your homework. Where do you think Candy would be while I'm sitting here?"
Zhou Yaling, whose brain hadn't fully booted up yet, froze for a moment, then burst out laughing. "You dragged her off to do her homework!"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Who was it again who never did their winter or summer homework as a kid?"
"Why don't you mention that I came first in every exam?"
Zhou Yaling looked at Mo Jingchun with disdain and said,
"Don't think I don't know. Candy gets excellent grades in her class, too."
"Excellent isn't the same as first."
After a pause, Mo Jingchun chuckled. "Little sis, times have changed. They aren't allowed to take exams, so there's no such thing as coming first."
"So until there's a clear first place, you'd better just do your homework."
"Besides..."
"If you dare bring this up to Candy, I'll tell our uncle."
Zhou Yaling looked thoroughly annoyed. "Big bro, is that the only trick you know? What else can you do?"
"I can tell our aunt."
"You..."
Over the next week, Candy could be seen heading to the company every day with her schoolbag on her back. While the employees wondered why she wasn't making her usual rounds of the building, Candy was occupying her brother's desk each day to do her homework.
Even though Mo Jingchun had been spending most of his time at the Second Laboratory Building lately, Candy stayed just as
