Su Chen got back into the car.
Su Yinuo said to him, "I'll eat first. My sisters will need a little more time to get here."
She planned to finish eating and leave first.
She was worried that once Su Zihan and the others arrived, they would expose her.
"Sure. Take your time." Su Chen affectionately took a tissue and set it on the little tea table inside the car.
One advantage of the Alphard Nanny Van was that a little tea table could pop out between the two captain's chairs in the back row.
It could be used for drinking, eating, or even working on a computer.
Very convenient.
When Su Chen saw that what Su Yinuo took out of the bag was a red insulated lunch box, he was a little surprised.
The things his eldest daughter had bought before had basically all been pink.
So when he chose an insulated lunch box, he'd deliberately picked a pink one.
He hadn't expected his eldest daughter to choose a bright red lunch box.
Could it be that another daughter had picked the pink one?
So his eldest daughter had chosen the bright red one instead?
Something just didn't feel right.
Su Yinuo set the dishes on the table one by one, her eyes lighting up.
This was food Dad had made with his own hands!
And it was all spicy southern-style food!
She couldn't help picking up her chopsticks and digging in.
First, she tried the egg tofu. To make it, you coated tofu in egg, then starch, and fried it in a pan until it had a crispy egg-and-flour crust.
It was especially delicious.
It was so good that she closed her eyes and kept going, "Ah, ah, ah!"
Seeing the little one eating with such a blissful expression, Su Chen smiled and said, "Take it slow. Don't choke on the spice."
Su Yinuo nodded her little head like a pecking chicken.

She got to eat such delicious food with Dad every single day!
She was so jealous!

Big Sis definitely wouldn't agree.

Just then, Su Chen's phone rang. He took it out and looked.
The screen showed "Eldest Daughter."
He looked at the "eldest daughter" sitting across from him, eating happily, and instantly understood.

She was his second daughter!
Thinking carefully back over the tiny differences he'd noticed between his "second daughter" and "eldest daughter,"

He hung up and quickly replied to his eldest daughter, "Dad's already here. I'm a little busy with something."
Then he turned to look out the window.
He was nervous now!
At first, he'd thought she was his eldest daughter, so he hadn't been nervous.
But now he knew she wasn't his eldest daughter, but his second daughter!
That made him nervous.
Thinking about yesterday's mix-up, what had happened this morning, and how he'd just mistaken his second daughter for his eldest daughter—
Though his second daughter seemed happy on the surface right now, what if she was actually furious inside?
He needed a cigarette to calm down.
But then he remembered his daughter was in the car, eating, and the heater was on. If he smoked, the enclosed space would get unbearably stuffy.
His hand had just started to reach for a cigarette when he let go of it.
He switched to a mint.
His eldest daughter had slipped it to him before she left, telling him to try to smoke less.
If he needed a pick-me-up, he could have a mint instead.
"Dad, this fish is super good too, especially this part of the belly. It's so tender." Su Yinuo took a bite of the smooth, tender fish belly, savoring every mouthful.
She hadn't had authentic spicy southern food in three months.
Now she was finally getting her fix.
"Take it slow. The fish has bones," Su Chen quickly reminded her.
He was afraid his boisterous second daughter might get a fish bone stuck in her throat.
"Mm."
Su Chen didn't know whether he should come clean to his second daughter right then.
He was worried it would get awkward...
For now, he wasn't calling her out, and she wasn't letting on.
They could keep the peace as it was.
Once he came clean, his second daughter would probably get angry and leave...
Being a dad for the first time was really hard.

And two of them were identical twins who looked exactly alike.
His eyesight wasn't great, either.
Sometimes he didn't recognize his second daughter; other times, he mistook her for his eldest daughter.
He just didn't have enough experience.

As Su Yinuo ate, she couldn't stop, and didn't notice Su Chen's subtle change in attitude at all.
Halfway through the meal, she suddenly stopped and checked the time. Big Sis and the others should be getting here soon.
She closed the lunch box, then said to Su Chen, "Dad, I'm going to use the restroom."
"Okay." Su Chen breathed a sigh of relief.
He could use the time while his second daughter was in the restroom to think up a plan.
After all, his eldest daughter would be here soon.

Things would get really awkward.

"I wonder what Dad's face will look like when Big Sis gets here and he realizes he mistook one daughter for another."
"This time, Dad will definitely remember me, his second daughter, as someone special. He'll remember me for good! Next time he won't dare mistake me for someone else, haha."

"The only little regret is the beef brisket. I only got three slices!"
"If I hadn't been afraid Dad would realize I wasn't Big Sis, I would've wolfed down all the dishes in one go."
"I didn't even dare take the lunch box with me."

"I have to find a good chance to go to Dad's house and mooch a meal."
