Su Chen and Lin Wanxue had returned to the wooden cabin by dusk, and now they were starting a fire to cook dinner.
Their haul from today's trip to the shore had been plentiful, so they could have another seafood feast tonight.
After dinner, darkness settled over the sky. A gentle breeze stirred, and the bamboo grove whispered in their ears. It was wonderfully peaceful.
Su Chen and Lin Wanxue reclined in chairs in front of the cabin, gazing into the distance together.
"Husband, why does this feel like working at sunrise and resting at sunset? Life is so comfortable here." It was almost as if they had no worries at all.
But she knew perfectly well that they were in the Boundless Mountain Range, where danger and death could strike at any moment.
"Comfortable is good. Once we're done with the National Competition, we'll bring Zihan and the others here on vacation too. The air is wonderful." Su Chen rested his hands behind his head as he spoke.
When the National Competition was over and they left the Boundless Mountain Range, he would bring the whole family here for a vacation—and some cultivation on the side.
After all, the air here held so much Mysterious Factor. It was practically a cultivation paradise.
Lin Wanxue had the same idea. Before, she wouldn't have dared suggest bringing their daughters here on vacation. But now, with Su Chen bringing it up, she wanted to join him in bragging about it.
A little boasting made conversations more fun and got people fired up.
Gradually, the moon rose.
Su Chen looked up at it. It had rained the night before, so there had been no moon, but today the sky was clear, and the moon was out.
Yet it seemed so close! So huge!
