The Trap

Homelander suddenly made a dazzling entrance, wiping out all the demons and warlocks at the scene.

The survivors he had rescued were immediately overcome with excitement.

They had grown up watching news about superheroes, and now, after falling into despair, they had seen Homelander step in and turn the tide. Naturally, they were thrilled.

A smile appeared on his face before he could stop it. He kept pressing his hands lightly downward, hoping the crowd would quiet down, though he wasn't particularly firm about it. All the while, he kept going, "Wow, wow, wow—"

Just then, a nimble female figure darted out from behind and came to Homelander's side.

She was Queen Maeve, one of the Seven, a superhero popular with both men and women. She had also had a brief fling with Homelander.

She was among the more powerful superheroes, too.

Though she couldn't fly through the sky or turn the tide like Homelander,

she had still smashed several demons scattered along the neighboring streets.

Right behind her, a gust of wind suddenly swept through, and A-Train, famous for his speed, arrived at the scene and flashed an OK sign.

"I've dealt with the hellhounds. According to the old man's battle plan, we need to get them out of here, fast."

As he spoke, he glanced at his watch.
