Uchiha Madara had never been one for courtesy. He barged right in.

When he saw Senju Tobirama and Tao Yu there, he paused in surprise.

Then he shot Senju Tobirama an annoyed look and said disdainfully,

"Why are you here too?"

"This is my big brother!"

With his big brother backing him up, Senju Tobirama was just as hostile toward Uchiha Madara and met his gaze head-on.

"Tch."

Uchiha Madara ignored him and turned his attention to Tao Yu.

"Didn't expect to see you here, kid. Is something up?"

He had a good impression of Tao Yu, who was always pleasant to talk to. He had even given him a pass.

"Hashirama and I go back a bit, so I thought I'd stop by."

Uchiha Madara blinked at Tao Yu's words. He knew Hashirama?

Since when?

Why hadn't I heard about this?

Then he looked over at Senju Hashirama.

"He's an old friend of mine, all right."

Uchiha Madara looked suspicious.

Senju Hashirama wasn't good at this sort of thing to begin with. He tried to figure out how to explain it, then simply gave up and started laughing foolishly.

Uchiha Madara's brow twitched at the sight, but he knew Hashirama well enough to find it unsurprising.

"If you can't explain, then don't. What happened just now? That was some racket."

Uchiha Madara glanced at Tao Yu and spoke casually.

Tao Yu could sense the wariness in Uchiha Madara.

Though he acted arrogant, he was a ninja, after all. And given how well he knew Senju Hashirama, he knew Hashirama wouldn't unleash that enormous chakra so casually.
