The ruined city was a scorched wasteland. Green fel flames still seeped through cracks in the earth, and the entire city had become a dead zone, its corpses transformed into undead that wandered aimlessly.
Yet in this desolate place, the ground suddenly began to shake in a steady rhythm. Several hulking Fel Reavers came lumbering in from far away, led by an Eredar Devil.
"Quick, this is the place. Drain the fel energy here first, then start clearing the ruins."
The Eredar Devil acted like he owned the place. The foolish Fel Reavers obeyed his orders and lumbered onto the ruins.
The fel flames still burning in the cracks in the earth seemed to flock toward the Fel Reavers like fledglings returning to their nests.
Before long, every last stubborn flame of fel energy in the area had been absorbed by the Fel Reavers.
The sulfurous smell in the air and the ominous sense of dread remained, but those were inherent to the Fel Reavers.
Then the mountain-sized Fel Reavers began hauling away the city's rubble.
A casual swing of their massive bodies brought down heaps of debris. They looked clumsy, but their size made them more efficient than excavators and bulldozers as they quickly leveled the city ruins.
Behind them, various Primordial Race clans began bringing in all kinds of building materials.
The Fel Reavers' fel energy naturally stirred negative emotions and fear in them. But every Primordial Race member selected for the task had no choice but to force down that fear and begin rebuilding the city on the foundations laid by the Fel Reavers...
