He was to go to the cloth shop in town that they worked with and order the necessary work gear for a thousand people.

Mocking himself inwardly, Lin Ze began adjusting the miners' working arrangements.

"Everyone, stop for a moment and listen."

Then he announced his new decision.

"You can form mining teams of five and choose a leader for each team. You'll take turns digging coal, loading it into carts, and hauling it to the warehouse to be recorded and stored. Since these jobs vary in difficulty, you can work out a rotation among yourselves. Wages will be split evenly."

"Joining a team is voluntary. It's best to team up with people you know, so you can sort things out easily and avoid disputes."

"Once you've formed your teams, get to work. This afternoon, when you haul coal to the warehouse to be recorded, I'll register each team of miners. From now on, wages will be paid according to these teams."

"Remember, we won't start recording the coal until this afternoon, so focus on digging as much as you can this morning. When it's time to eat, members of each team should take turns going to the dining hall. Leave two people behind to keep watch over the coal you've dug, so no one else steals it."

Lin Ze spoke loudly.
