The Aztec Sky Warriors piqued Murphy's curiosity, especially their extraordinarily huge, magnificent wings. They were impossible to ignore.
Murphy had a pair of powerful wings himself, but for vampires, wings were a racial trait of supernatural beings. The Aztecs, on the other hand, were ordinary humans by every measure—not even classifiable as demi-humans. Such a dramatic physical mutation was naturally worth studying.
Then there were the Aztec myths Chuchut had told him. Even setting aside the possibility that the Aztecs were flattering themselves, the whole matter seemed connected to the Creator.
So after thinking it over all night, Murphy decided to take action.
"What? Why do you want blood from the Sky Clan?"
Early the next morning, Chuchut was preparing to lead the player shamans in prayer before the Feathered Serpent's pyramid when he spotted Governor Murphy, who had arrived uninvited. He also heard a rather strange request from him.
As everyone knew, when "vampires" and "blood" came up in the same conversation, it always made people feel a little uneasy.
But Murphy had his own explanation for Chuchut's doubts.
He cleared his throat and said with a straight face:
"Your Highness Chuchut, you've spent quite some time in Transia by now, and you've learned a lot about my otherworldly heroes and their various traits.
"You know they have the talent to 'change size whenever they want.' Under certain conditions, they can transform their life form into the race they desire, and their racial traits and power systems will be no different from those of the race's natives.
"My forces already include members of every race from the Old Continent. We even have merfolk and dragonkin.
"The reason I set these transformation requirements for my warriors is to help them feel more immersed when they travel and explore this world.
