On the morning of the second day after the Transian birthday delegation entered the Castilian Strait, the Loyal Guy rubbed his eyes and finally ended his all-night work session aboard the last of the four airships flying abreast above the fleet.
He yawned and handed the data-recording orb to Mengha, who had come to take over his shift, then chatted with her for a few moments.
"How did the program run last night? Any major problems?"
Mengha held a cup of elven coffee in one hand and looked over the data logs as she asked. The Loyal Guy immediately curled his lip and said:
"No major problems. The power armor's main control system kept running its stress tests without interruption, but there were definitely a lot of little issues. Girl, your program threw up 74 bugs last night. At its worst, 106 of its 153 threads had crashed, and yet somehow the thing kept running. It's a miracle.
"Its stress tolerance is through the roof.
"But the system's stability still leaves something to be desired. From my experience piloting exoskeletons, this kind of control program would definitely cause trouble on a battlefield. You and Ruyi had better get cracking on those fixes."
"It's fine. New programs always run like this at first. And besides, we built this mess of spaghetti code using esoteric engineering logic, so I'd say these are all minor issues."
Mengha was quite optimistic. She took a sip of coffee and said with a grin:
"Okay, I'll take it from here. You'd better log off and get some rest. I heard lots of people went to watch Meow Brother and Sister Cement's martial arts matchmaking event. It shouldn't be far from your hometown. Why not go take a look?"
"What?"
The Loyal Guy had been busy tuning
