Watching Old Qin leave with a hint of uncertainty, Murphy felt he ought to prepare for his arrival in advance. So he took out his one-of-a-kind, high-end computing orb, found one of the marked communication signals, and sent a message:
"Cement, I remember you've been studying that biological cloning pod at Base R-9. Is it running smoothly now?"
A moment later, Sister Cement replied:
"There are still a few minor issues. A few of us have been trying to extend the clones' lifespans, but unfortunately, the biological cloning pod here was designed to produce experimental clones for short-term use. It doesn't have the ability to truly rebuild a body. No matter how much we adjust the parameters, clones made at Base R-9 can't be used for more than three months before their organs begin to fail irreversibly.
"That's normal. The individuals produced by this cloning pod are meant to be 'disposable.' If we want a truly perfect clone, we'll have to go to the legendary Life Greenhouse.
"You suddenly ask about this—is there something important you need it for?"
"That's right. I need you to prepare a clone for a special 'client' in the next few days, to serve as a vessel for the soul that's about to arrive."
Murphy didn't hide anything.
After he sent the message, Sister Cement fell silent for a moment, then asked:
"Is it Grandpa Qin?"
"Yes, it's him."
Murphy flexed his fingers and said:
"After Little Ashina, A-Feng, and you, he'll be my fourth 'warrior.'
"He may be ready, or he may not be, but I can't let him begin his second life in this world as a wandering ghost. Since you already have this technology, give him a more authentic second-life experience."
"Understood. We'll start preparing right away. We can have it ready
