Murphy hadn't insisted on making a dramatic last-minute entrance. At least, that hadn't been his original plan when he came to Banks City this time.
But the Chaos abominations and ratmen on the other side had shown him far too much "love." They had broken through the city walls just as the West Kessex Netherworld Army's airships arrived at Banks City. This kind of dramatic, last-minute entrance had happened again and again, earning Murphy the fond nickname "Drama King" among the players.
The problem was that Murphy wasn't on the airship at all.
Nor did he plan to personally take charge in Banks City. The Netherworld Army and Loren were enough. Besides, the army's main ground forces were still some distance away.
They had to run on foot, after all, and couldn't reach the battlefield that quickly. But considering that His Netherworld Majesty had extravagantly exercised his authority as Netherworld King to issue a Netherworld Edict, the undead vanguard formed from the summoned sacrifices would be enough to hold off the abominations and buy the Netherworld Army time to arrive.
The Netherworld Edict had some serious side effects, though.
Murphy suspected that, for at least the next several years, East Prussia would have "native undead" as its local "new specialty." But that couldn't be helped. They couldn't expect to have their cake and eat it too, could they?

This was his first time inside the fortress, a place that held complicated associations for the people of Transia. It would probably be his last, too. Once the affairs in East Prussia were settled, this fortress, so significant to the people of Transia, would likely be forgotten in the years to come.
